You can set the LED color on a TGRP object, but not a TSYS object. The TSYS object is not a "scanable object"

Mike, thanks works great I imported right from Pro 96 into software then into GRE 500.I did forget and should have known better it will wipe out anything already in GRE.

Mike, nice work. Any chance of importing a PRO-96/WIN-96 file? Unless I missed it, I have to interface a PRO-96. I sold mine, but still have the files.

Thanks again.

Unfortunately no, I cannot read a p96 file. The format of the file has been modified from the downloaded data from the radio and I can't decode it. (Unless Don decides to share that information with me, which I don't expect).

I think I need to add a message box on the upload screen (with an option to disable I should think) to warn people of that. It sounds like it might become an issue.

I'm unclear when adding a TGrp object, how to set the Internal GRE ID. Is that something that is (or can be) autoset byt the program keeping track of the highest used ID?

If I dupe a Tgrp, not sure where to find the Dupe.

Being able to Sort the lists is nice.

Some sort of basic import would be cool.

Thanks. helps a lot.

You're probably right... but you did provide a disclaimer, eh?

First thing I did was suck the data down from the radio because I wanted to see what it looked like (helped figure it out faster)....

Nice Job Mike, works smooth.

Thanks for the hard work.

How about a verify data option after the upload to scanner is complete?

Probably way to much for a version 1, but it would be very nice to be able to tab a number of Tgrps, and change some selected attributes rater then opening and editing each Tgrp. Say Scan Lists #'s and maybe the LED Color?

Highlight(select) all of the talkgroups you want to change, right click, and select the edit talkgroup option. Any section that is changed in the edit screen will be updated across all objects.

PSREdit Software Question

Mike,

After downloading and previewing PSREdit I noticed there seems to be only enough space to enter 32 channels for a Motorola 800/900 trunked system using "Multi Site Mode". Is 32 frequencies the limit of the radio or just the software?

The reason I ask is because the Indiana SAFE-T system, which I will be monitoring, has over 100 distinct control channels (including secondary) for the 120+ sites. Although I do plan to divide the system into zones (there are 4), 32 frequencies still will not be enough. One of our SAFE-T zones has 58 distinct possible control channels.

If the PSR-500 is limited to just 32 frequencies for a multi-site system then I may have to reconsider purchasing it as it woulld not be significantly more useful at tracking the system than my BCD396T.

Thanks.

You can't set the Object ID. The first available ID will be assigned to the object when it's added. I can change the program to try create new objects at the next ID after the highest used object I suppose.

Where the dupe appears depends on how you have the list sorted.

Currently only the import from the Pro-96/2096, and import from another .bin file is supported. I plan to add the import from RR data as soon as I can, and some sort of CSV import as well whenever I get to that.

The 32 frequency limit is a limitation imposed by the radio, not the software.

Nice program Mike,

I too brought the same UHF system in Lynn's previous #3 from a 2096 as 800 Mot. The tables came in correctly however.

Looking for the paypal button.

Would you be willing to share the p96 file with me? I'd like to see if I can make a change to the import to make it more foolproof.

So (On the Radio Object ID) Leave it blank and when loaded to the radio, the radio will assign it? (Just being careful so I don't corrupt the radio's memory by having two objects with the same (blank/zero) ID.

I'm having fun getting all of the information loaded.

Looks Great. Thanks!

Banks 7 and 8. Lynn's system is the one in 7 but both came up as 800.

Any ideas?
