Just uploaded my data file again from win 500 and the scanner started to work again but not sure for how long.
Is there a button I may have pushed or is it just acting up?

I don't know what your weather situtation is like, but here in Lincoln, NE it is cold (below -0) and show is on the ground. I have noticed that on days where the temps dip quite low, or snow is falling, the scanner reception is rather spotty. I don't have an explaination for this (but I'm sure someone can explain it), but I wonder if maybe this is something you are experiencing as well?

By looking at the file you uploaded in another thread, it seems you should be getting inconsistent results because you seem to be mixing and matching control channels across several TSYS. You've got the controls for one site in a TSYS mixed with those of other sites. Only program the control channels that belong to a site within its TSYS.

I through the same thing but if I only put the CC that belong to that TSYS Such as Davis CO it will not pick up anything it seems to need the SLCO on all the TSYS for best results

Well, you must be out of range of the Davis County control, OR the talkgroups you have programmed and associated are not simulcasted on the Davis county site. If you are locked on a SLCO control channel in the Davis Co TSYS, then you might as well label them both as SaltLake County because as long as you are locked onto the SLCo control, you are tracking SLCo and any reference to Davis Co is irrelevant. So why confuse matters?

If you are hearing the TGs you have in List 3 while locked onto the SLCO simulcast, then you don't need a separate Davis TSYS. Of course, your location will dictate which site you need to listen to. Also, if a talkgroup isn't carred across the different sites and only resides on Davis, then you'd have to have a Davis TSYS for those, but putting the SLCo controls in the Davis TSYS really isn't accomplishing anything.

Too Many Frequencies

First, look at the map attachment. I drew lines to represent the radio signals from the four Davis Simul transmitter locations. Notice that Ensign Peak near North Salt Lake
cuts off the radio siignal. If you are in Holladay, the radio signal never gets to you, or if
it does, it will be very weak.

Now look at the frequencies for some of your TSYS.
You have SL Simul freqs in Weber, Tooele, Davis, & Utah.
So when you scan those lists, the scanner will lock onto the strong signal of SL Simul.
But, the talk groups in those lists are NOT affiliates of SL Simul. So each time you scan those lists, you will get dead air time. Some talk groups from outside of SL County will always carry on SL Simul. I often hear Summit County Fire and Weber County Fire.

Hospital Talk Groups: You have them all in ScanList 1, which means you have them
mapped to SL Simul. Look how many of them have zero hits.
If you want to hear Davis Hospitals, the talk group has to be mapped to Davis Simul.
You have to be on Utah Co Simul to hear Utah Val Regional Hosp. and so on.

Wide area scanner reception

Two experiments:
I put TGRPs of Fire and Police for all of Davis County
in a scanlist that was mapped to SL Simul.
I also had some Weber County TGRPs.

The only hits I got were Weber Fire 1 and Weber Fire 3.

I changed the TSYS freqs to the ones for Nelson Peak
This time I had frequent hits for Layton PD and Layton FD,
but none of the other Davis chatter. I was also picking up
Tooele County SO, Tooele FD, Tooele PD, and Park City PD.

Conclusion: Nelson Peak would appear to be your best site
to receive those surrounding counties that would normally
be out of range.
