OnQ Encryption

Do we know if any TG's are encrypted on OnQ? Just wondering if you can hear the encryption or the tg just doesn't display?

I thought there was enc on the system. Maybe someone who uses DSD+ regularly on the system can confirm.

I don't hear enc channels on my radio so guess depends what radio you use.

I've used DSD+ and I haven't heard any scrambling/encryption so far. Not on my 436HP either. Just curious.

A couple of the towing companies in the GTHA have encrypted talk groups. The RR database also shows an encrypted taxi company as well.

Uniden does not pass the encrypted audio.
You have to watch the scanner display and see the talkgroup number or description ( if known) and it should have a rapidly flashing ENC .

Yep! Thank goodness there are only a handful of businesses using NXDN privacy.

Spectrum Communications (now BearComm) in London has an encrypted talkgroup as well.
