Hi all
I'm monitoring Motorola type II system for Suffolk County NY
I now have 124 talk id's but radio only holds 100 for 1 trunk system. Bummer
The Suffolk County Trunk system is set up on bank 1
I'm thinking of creating another duplicate trunk sytem on bank 2 same as Bank1 and add
additional 24 talk ids so I use the id scan option.

Don't know what else to do. Got any ideas.

Break up the system and program banks by type of service:

Bank 1- SUFFOLK CO. - LAW ENFORCE
Add only Law TGs

Bank 2- SUFFOLK CO. - FIRE & RESCUE
Add only Fire Related TGs

Bank 3- SUFFOLK CO. - EMS/MED/HOSPITALS
Add only EMS/Med Related TGs

Bank 4- SUFFOLK CO. - SERVICES
Add only Services TGs (ex: Roads, Water, Electric)

So... for each bank, you would program the same Trunk Frequencies BUT only those talkgroups that apply to that bank's type of service.

This just one example of how to break it up. You can condense or expand the banks anyway you prefer so long as each bank needs no more than 100 TGs. If it were me; I would probably use just two bank, with my preferred types occupying Bank 1.

Normally yes a duplicate system with the remaining is what I would do.
Although I really like sjlambs idea above... If you have the banks to spare.
