p25 ham radio simplex

i can add it to my bearcat 396xt but not the home patrol. This is odd

anyone know how i can add a p25 simplex to the HP-1?

i can add a p25 trunked system no problem but that has several channels plus the talk group

You just add it as a conventional channel. Are using the Sentinal software or trying to do it thru the radio itself?

I tried sentinel and butel. I cant find a p25 mode under conventional and if i go p25 trunked there is no talkgroup. Programs ok on the 396... The hp-1 not so much

For conventional your mode would likely be NFM (or just use Auto) then set SQ Mode to P25.
