Sorry for all the versions lately. It is nice to have multiple people testing on this issue, because we find out if the bug is still there faster that way. It may work for hours for some.., but with a few people testing, we find out faster. There is another version available. _0958. This version has a minor change to phase II code in an attempt to fix missing audio. (in addition to another change attempting to fix the usb lock-up issue).

Thanks. I know there are always new versions! I just can't keep up! :D

Suggestion: The display on the lower left on the main page, showing the active talkgroup, alias, etc. I would like to see that with the ability to be made bigger, easier to see. Maybe with the ability to make custom fonts and colors. Maybe on a seperate tab, just for such a display.
Suggestion added to the list.

With 0958, I got blinking LEDs and no discovery. Cycled power, tried 0958 a second time, it loaded, but got 0 blocks per second etc.

If you see a pattern flashing on the leds, like 1 long, 3 short (or something like that), that is a flash memory error indication. You can try cycling power. If it doesn't go away, then you can hold the TG button and wait for the leds to stop. Don't turn off power at this point. Wait until the leds start flashing rapidly, then reload the firmware. When this happens, you will need to put the correct reference frequency back in (and reload TG, etc). This is on the labels that came with the P25RX, contact me via email if you can't find that information. I have it here. Alternatively, you can use the estimated reference frequency.

I’m seeing that unchecking “allow unknown talk groups” still allows unknown talk groups through even after disconnecting/reconnecting the P25RX from the computer and relaunching the BTConfig software and confirming that the option still remains unchecked. I’ve reported this to Todd via email already.

I did experience loss of audio earlier today via a BTConfig and a USB connection on the computer and provided Todd the console log of that. This happened about 5 minutes after updating to the latest TESTING firmware. I was getting transmissions on different talk groups but they were all silent and I confirmed they were not encrypted communications. I’ve not been able to get that to happen again so it could of just been a random one-time fluke.

I seem to have had the best luck with 1047... I've had that up for 8 - 9 hours at work with no freezing etc...

Thanks again for the help testing all these versions. I found something else that looks promising. It could explain why USB communications stops, but everything else works. Starting to test _1353.

_1353 does not “discover device” for me. Tried disconnecting usb and also re-starting software. Still unable to “discover device”.

Have you tried the 'hold TG button while power-up and continue to hold for 10 seconds until leds turn on" method?

0958 ran all night without locking up. The previous two or three betas did lock up after a few hours.

Still waiting for a version that plays nicely with USB during reboots. I've narrowed it down to the fact that Dell doesn't remove power to USB ports during a reboot. By turning off power settings for USB I am usually able to revive the P25RX after TWO reboots in a row. The device is not found after the first reboot regardless of firmware version.
