Can it be set up so it looks back to the paging frequency every second or so by using the priority level settings? Also, will it "look" back from P25 to analog NBFM then return to P25?

Please correct me if I'm not understanding this correctly. I don't think this will work because the two-tone decoder is working on the analog audio output. When decoding an analog channel, there is no new information coming in from a digital P25 channel and vice versa. I may not be understanding your question, so please elaborate further if that did not answer your question.

During the testing of the P25 two tone decode on the MicroP25RX, I had my P25 system's Paging TG set at a high priority level and the TG Priority Int feature works well. It should also work well on the RX-II on a system's P25 TGs.

As for Priority Int across other frequencies/systems/modes, that is a different operational question as the radio only has one receiver.

There are so many variables to consider with an inside antenna. My rec is to stick with the telescopic antenna that came with the radio as there will be no cable loss. Do you have access to an attic? How about a window? I've seen some people erect an all-band antenna on a stand that could double as a coat rack - not sure how much it actually improved their signal, but if they think it did.... Remember in general that UHF and above is "better" in penetrating buildings than VHF. If you decide you need something better than stock, go with something you can stick on a window or window sill, and keep the coax cable as short as possible.

I had pretty good results with an old VHF/UHF 300-ohm twin-lead J-Pole I made years ago, binder clipped to the light fixture chain over our kitchen table. I was not successful, however, at convincing my wife to let me keep it there, so as maus92 said, I went back to the telescoping antenna that came with it, adjusted to be 1/4-wave at 155 Mhz.

It did give fairly good reception, but it jsut won't stay in postion.

A tiny drop of silicone sealant or similar applied to the outside of the nut adjacent to the sma threads after tightening will keep it in place and can be easily peeled off. Or just wrap a rubber band around the antenna and case with just enough tension, lol.

I would *love* to see Jason / Trunking Recorder and Bluetail get together to provide a calls recording interface similar to what has been done with SDRTrunk. I've been testing Trunking Recorder as the primary listening interface in my building via the LAN. It combines a SmartZone system decoded with Unitrunker / Airspy with a Phase 2 system decoded by SDRT. Selected talk groups are recorded and retained on the network, and then played by via a web browser. Works great.

Edit: I'm wondering if I pointed the BT audio directory to the one used by SDRT would accomplish the same thing, as what I *think* happens is Trunking Recorder processes mp3s from the SDRT audio directory, creates a db entry and moves them to its audio directory. Hmm...

I was looking at the docs for Rdio Scanner - it does not support Unitrunker 2 natively, so it's not going to work for me. Additionally, I don't think that the P25RXII is the right radio to use for my purposes because it processes calls serially. Not a big deal for a slow system, but I routinely have 2-3 or more talk groups in use simultaneously on each system that I need to capture. I currently have 4 virtual cables configured on the SmartZone system, and 4 channels available on SDRTrunk. Oh well, thought it might work.

Yes, the P25RX-II processes a single, analog-filtered channel of 12.5 kHz bandwidth. It also doesn't require a PC to receive. I find this makes much more sense than to force a $3k computer get warm by processing 800 channels when you only need 4. They definitely are different approaches.
