In the ADVANCED tab, If you uncheck Allow Logging of RID = 0, does that prevent the flashing? It looks like it may be related to RID of 0.
Yes thanks for that suggestion. I have tried that thinking the same thing, but I think it just involves logging of the RID's, not talkgroups. I think this is a Talkgroup issue the way it looks. In the ADVANCED tab, If you uncheck Allow Logging of RID = 0, does that prevent the flashing? It looks like it may be related to RID of 0.
Thank you. Please give 01-13_0717 a try.Todd, Have you come up with a fix yet for the "Unknown Talkgroup" continuous flashing? I have to go back to version 2022-08-15 for it to operate normal. I put up a video of this phenomenon. Too big to email it. I don't know if I am the only user having this problem. It might be the simulcast system I monitor causing it? But , as I said, when I revert to an earlier version it doesn't happen. I switched around to different tabs when making the video in case there are things you may see that will help in solving.
Thank You Todd. Back to working great! Boy it's only 0730 out there on the west coast. You are the best.Thank you. Please give 01-13_0717 a try.
That is great news. Thank you for testing so quickly!Thank You Todd. Back to working great! Boy it's only 0730 out there on the west coast. You are the best.
Yes the audio sounds better too. Uniden and Whistler were never this attentive and responsive! That is great news. Thank you for testing so quickly! This may also take care of some reported audio issues with the previous firmware.
The PL tone enable/disable does change the audio filters when in FMNB demodulation mode in the current firmware. The point is that is does make a difference in the current release with regards to filtering out the PL tone from the audio. I know what you want is for it to function as a squelch. I will commit the rest of the day to this and see what I can do. I may have to put it off again if not successful. Thanks for being patient.Tood,
Happy Friday. Is it possible for you to get the PL tone code to be enabled?
You bet. I was making it too complicated in previous attempts. What ended up working very well is passing the FM demod audio through an IIR low-pass filter to isolate the PL Tones and then counting zero-crossings. There is also a fast detector and slow detector. The fast detector measurement time is 50ms, but not very accurate (around 10 Hz). If the estimate from the fast detector is outside of the allowed range (50 to 500 Hz +/- 10 Hz), then the slow detector count is reset. This way, the values that are measured by the slow detector are likely to be correct on the first or second measurement. The slow detector is 400ms with 1.25 Hz resolution. Let me know how it goes. When unmuted, the voice audio is passed through a high-pass IIR filter to attenuate the PL tones.Thank you, my friend, much appreciated.
I'll look into it and see what is involved. No promises. Not sure if this is a good time to make a feature request, since I didn't want to add to the workload when you were getting the Micro into production and running smoothly, however since you are back making changes to the P25RX-II, I figured I'd throw it out there for a future feature for the P25RX and P25RX-II. Since both of them are capable of monitoring analog conventional, any change of MDC-1200 decoding? It's pretty well documented and there are some open source decoders out there so hopefully it shouldn't be too difficult of a project. Please don't take this as an urgent request or feel pressured to jump right into it. I don't want to add to your workload by requesting a pretty niche feature that might not get too much use since I don't know how many people are using these on analog frequencies.
