According to RadioReference, "Most Talkgroups on this system are Phase I however there is some Phase II traffic on lesser used talkgroups from time to time."

None of the talkgroups in the database are listed with a Mode "T" (TDMA capable) designation.

Does anyone know which of the 'lesser used' talkgroups may be using Phase II modulation?

Since no one else (with better info) has posted -

What I've seen - with very little listening - is some of the patched City of Madison groups go into TDMA from time to time.

Thank you, sixtytwo, for the reply.

May I ask what equipment you are using to monitor DaneCom? I'm using a Unication G5 with Phase 2, however, there is no indication on the G5 that a given signal is using TDMA.

I have used a G5 with Danecom with the Phase I 1/2018 firmware since the day that firmware came out. I've noticed MPD A1 and A3 both occasionally are not received (even after confirming they are simultaneously being broadcast on on my HomePatrol2 via 800MHz, or via P25 Phase II with the HP2 in "just the right spot"). I chalked it up to MPD A1/A3 going out as Phase II occasionally (i.e. for hours at a time, then switching back to Phase I), but have not been able to absolutely confirm that.

My G5 is in for the Phase 2 upgrade now, will report back once it returns next week.

Sam - been using my Phase 2 upgraded G5 for about a month and have had great results on DaneCom. As far as I can tell I now reliably get both MPD A1 and A3 with no "suspected Phase 2" dropouts.

Any updates on Phase 2 on DaneCom. I was looking to reprogram my Uniden BCD396XT when I ran across these postings. Will I miss out on a lot with my Uniden BCD396XT or will I need to upgrade? Thanks.
