Solved

Think I solved the problem, i was using a whip antenna SRH77CA, decided to put my factory antenna back on, and so far so good, seems to have corrected the problem

I'm in port aux basque and have been monitoring the RCMP a bit using p25 on 159.120 and 153.290. Not busy of course and most calls are from stephenville.
