Why when I try to listen to our area with the Broadcastify scanner app does it say OFFLINE? It ahs said that for months now. Do we not have anyone to broadcast it anymore? Thank you, Sherry

As the feed provider for Portage Law and Fire, I can tell you that I will try to keep it going as best as I can. However, the feed will be down alot at night and on weekends as I need the computer for work.

If you want to monitor the action in Portage County at all times, I would suggest buying yourself a scanner. I can help you program it so that you will hear the same radio traffic as my live feed broadcasts.

Sherry, Portage is lumped in with Lake Station listed under Porter County. Unfortunately, this is also combined with Lake County frequencies for Gary FD, EMS, Merrillville, Lake County Sheriff, Hobart, etc. The Lake County frequencies make up most of the traffic but you can hear Portage/Porter County on occasion.
