Possible Drowning

Birmingham Fire & Rescue and Cahaba Valley are searching Lake Purdy for a possible drowning vicitim. The boat from Station 3 is en route. Task Force 32, Engine 2, 2's Medium Rescue, Engine 22, Rescue 22, EMS 4, Heavy Rescue 1, Boat 1, Battalion 4, Safety Officer 1 and Cahaba Valley are assigned so far.

The Jefferson County S.O. dive team has just been requested by Command.

I heard this yesterday and read about it this morning. Very sad. Hoover PD's team was out there as well apparently. Is Boat 1 based out of station 3?

Yes. There is also an inflatable boat (with an outboard motor) on 1's heavy rescue.
