Geez Peter,
With you working this out there is nothing for the rest of us to do except sit back, relax, pop popcorn, and enjoy the show.

Great work!

Well, thanks :D, but they could almost all use confirmations. Some don't (Police and Fire dispatch), but others sure do.

And there's lots to go, the non-PS stuff particularly.

Norman PD

I'm going to go out on a limb (and the limb may break), and say that these are Tac 1 through Tac 4 (formerly know as Patrol A -> D). I've confirmed that the first one is Tac 1. The others are an educated guess.

  • 48656 - NPD Tac 1
  • 48688 - NPD Tac 2
  • 48720 - NPD Tac 3
  • 48752 - NPD Tac 4

59344 - I think this is what used to be called "Norman Meter Service" ("E MTR SVC"). I assume this is water, since it's the only municipal utility.

Thanks for the TACxx TG's, Peter. I'll add them right now and see if I can help confirm over the weekend.

Please do! I've not been submitting what I find since I'm only me and would like second (and third!) opinions.

I have the database in an ASCII file and I added all the empty TG slots which is how I'm making guesses (like where the 4 Tacs are based on only hearing one), so I'd really like to hear from others, good or bad.

Thanks,
Peter

You're doing Yeoman's work!

I think that it is wise to never submit anything until the confidence level has been resolved to a whole number.

I have really enjoyed following this thread. You guys do realize, don't you, that you're enjoying yourselves just a bit too much?

48944 - Norman FD "Fire 2" - 100% certainty. :)

From looking at the slots, my guess is that these are Fire 3 - 7:
  • 48976
  • 49008
  • 49040
  • 49072
  • 49104

66.23% certainty. :)

Got a PM confirming Tac 2 above so that decreases the chances of the limb breaking ...

Control Channel Question

I'm back in Oklahoma City and I have a question.

I am looking at three systems:

Oklahoma City (8) cc 867.7500
Norman (40) cc 860.7625

What was DPS Norman is running a control channel on 860.9875 and is identifying as system 92, site 25. It seems to be carrying DPS traffic as I have seen Noble pop up.

EDIT: It does not appear to be carrying the new Norman traffic, however.

Can someone more knowledgable than me explain this site 25 stuff?

Is Site 25 the number of the old DPS Norman Site that we thought was incorporated into the Norman System or Norman into DPS?

Good, we need your ears.

Yes. :D

Site 25 was and still is working.

The old Norman (two-site) system is Site 40. And those two new freqs that were assigned to Norman back in spring of last year were finally added, so 12 channels in all.

I haven't listened to 25 much, but probably should. The Site 40 seems to be advertising Site 25 as a neighbor, if I am correctly interpreting what Unitrunker is telling me.

I think Site 25 is colocated with the west half of what is now Site 40 at the Sarkeys Energy Center on OU's campus (tall, red, leaky building at Jenkins and Boyd). There is a note in the DB that Site 40 is a temporary label, so I gather there are further integration plans.

So far, the only problems were Norman dispatchers complaining at every opportunity in the first few days. From a monitoring standpoint, it all sounded fine.

If the program displays an active control channel number for site 25 in the Stes view - then, yes .

48304

Disregard -- I see that 48304 is Lexington --

Is there a place around there called Cedar Country? If there is, 48304 identified as Cedar Country 3XX. Don't know if it is fire or police, but my bet would be fire.

I am about to download the boatload of changes to my 996 so I will stop getting so many numeric ids as opposed to alphanumeric ones. This has been crazy.

Thanks for the clarification on site 25. I'll leave active for the time being.

EDIT: 55120 Sounds like EMSTAT to Norman ER patient reports

Woody,

Yes Cedar Country is definitely fire department it is a volunteer fire department. My uncle use to be on their department as their training officer. Highly possible that they may have a 800 radio to talk to Lexington or others for mutual aid.
