pro-106 update

Hey there, I have a pro-106 that has not been updated. In my area there is no trunking that I can receive. I have been listening to conventional stuff. Is it worth my while to update? If so, where can I find detailed instructions. I have looked and have not found anything. Mostly what I have found says just do this or that. Well, I don't know how to do this or that. Help please.

I need to have more faith in myself. I found it and able to upgrade to 2.1. Thank you for the response.

Is you DSP firmware 1.4?

Yes I believe so. I just updated to 2.1. It took a little while to figure it out.

No the dsp is 1.3 AppVer and 1.0 Voc Ver

DSP 1.4 is available on that same wiki link. The process is a little different. Follow the instructions.

I did it. no issues with the update. thanks. Now I start saving for phase 2 scanner.

Your 197 is up to date now. What is your city, county and state? I'll take a look to determine the best scanner. Here is a list of Phase 2 capable scanners:
