Pro-107 please help!

Ok I got the pro-107 for christmas and I'm have been trying to get familiar with it over the past 36 hours but there's one problem... I am listening to a trunked system (palm beach county, Florida) and I am receiving a signal but nothing is coming out of the speakers.. I know the speakers do work because the weather part works fine... When the bars appear next to the "S" (if I'm right) that means I should be receiving a transmission and when the bars do show I get full but nothing is coming out of the speaker... I have used earbuds too with the same result.. Anyone have a solution? P.s. I'm kinda a newbee with scanners so please try to be as basic and discript as possible

Than system is a mixture of Analog and Digital. The scanner you hav will only receive the Analog channels. Verify that the ones you want to listen to are Analog

Thank you for your response.. Yes I just confirmed that the talk group I want to listen to is anolog. (channel 1a) ... However palm beach county is on the 800mhz level and after a lite bit of more reasearch I realized there's a antenna made especially for 800mhz frequencies... Do you think it will work if I buy it?

Are you receiving other frequencies (besides the Weather and that Trunked system ) ?

I agree with the poster above.... That Trunked system is most likely Digital. The 107 receives ANALOG only.

Go research the County where you live in FL. There is a database here on RR.

Ok I bought the new 800mhz antenna and it still doesn't work... Yes I am receiving other tunked systems but not palm beach county's system. (Palm Beach County Public Services Trunking System, Palm Beach, Florida - Scanner Frequencies) it is both anolog and digital but the channels I am trying to get are anolog.. Only the 5 channels for swat are digital
