Does anyone know if you can set the global delay on a conventional bank and or trunked bank to more then 2 seconds?

Thanks
Mike

I have a Pro-164 which should be the same as the Pro-163 and I don't see any global delay control of any kind (on/off or time).

In Appendix F, Specifications, a 2 second delay time is shown. So apparently that amount of time is hard wired and cannot be changed.

Mike, Below is the only additional information I could find regarding the delay for the 163. I copied this from pages 44-45 of the 163 manual. For conventional looks like 2 sec. is the limit.

"Trunking Delay
You can set a Talk Group ID delay separately from the channel
delay. When active, the scanner checks the Talk Group ID for the
delay time when a transmission ends.
To set a Talk Group ID delay:
1. Press
FUNC then •/DELAY while you are programming the
Trunk Group ID.
“ENTER key saves. 2.0 seconds” appears.
2. Use
 or to set ID Delay: None, 0.5, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 2.5, 3.0, 3.5,
or 4.0 seconds.

3. Press
ENT. "

Regards,
Keith

Sorry Mike the blocks in item 2 should be the "up" & "down" arrows on your keypad.
