I might have it. Will check and get back to you.
Sorry for the late reply.Did you ever find it or should I continue searching?
Someone has already been there and done that and whistler did not like them doing so. Legal consequences could follow if you continue to proceed. You have been warned.I agree with your assessment and am familiar with the past discussions on this board. However, I am a retired EE who used to do machine level and assembly level programming as part of my job in projects at work. My interest here is purely for my own entertainment on how the Trojan was written and maybe even writing my own versions of updates. Purely for my own amusement.
Yes, I’m aware of all that went on previously but if it’s for my OWN USE , as I said before, and if I don’t share what I code I fail to see an issue. Do you really think some old fart modifying his own equipment and keeping it to himself is even on Whistler’s radar? Where have I harmed their business or diminished their intellectual property? The WS1080 has been discontinued anyway. I could care less about the DMR licensing issue (if there is one) as there is no DMR traffic around here I want to listen to. I’m more interested in improving performance and modifying or customizing features to suit me. If it’s a problem I’ll toss it and go full home brew SDR.Someone has already been there and done that and whistler did not like them doing so.
