Pro 96 dim display

I have a PRO-96 with a dim display, anyone know how or where to get it fixed or replaced.

A long time ago I remember Paul Opitz saying that Uniden could repair any brand scanner dependent on availability of parts and one of the parts that was an exception was the LCD display.

That's going to be hard to find, you may put ads out looking for a non-operative pro 96 that you could cannibalize. My Pro 96 display is still bright but it hasn't been used in years, and maintained it in the leather case for many moons. Perfect condition.

Manual says this to try Contrast first. But don't know if anyone fixes those anymore.
CHANGING THE CONTRAST
1. Press MANUAL
2. Press FUNC then 9
3. Press arrow keys to adjust the contrast
4. Press ENTER to set display

C & G Communications in New York just repaired my PRO-96, He said he has other radios that he uses for parts, etc., The cost was very reasonable for labor and parts he replaced, best to call him instead of email,
