is there a way to stop the scanner on a certain talk group on the trunked frequencies? when I try to hit the MAN button on a certain broadcast, all I get is the control channel and a lot of noise

When you find a talk group you wish to listen to, hold the PSE button (third from the bottom on the left hand side). That will do it for you.

If the radio is already on the TGID press PSE or press and hold T, to get to one not active press PGM Trunk use the arrows to get to the ID you want then press FUNC Trunk
