does any one know if u can directly down load frequiecies off this site to the pro96
Yes just get Win96 http://www.starrsoft.com/
Kind of correct. Just a technicality, you get the frequencies from the site and put them into a template with Win96, then you load the template into the Pro96. No real connection between the Pro96 (or any radio for that matter) and this site. :)

Code:
ChLO ChHI Step Offset Base
440 559 25.000 440 851.025000
000 719 25.000 0 851.012500
720 759 25.000 0 848.000000
815 831 25.000 0 846.625000
958 958 25.000 958 868.975000
961 1022 25.000 0 843.400000

I previously asked you how I could get an indication of what is currently implemented in my Pro-96's custom table to see if the person who configured my scanner had configured my scanner with the information you mentioned above or what.
Well since then many have replied and I have learned a lot.
I stumbled across a solution to what I was asking and thought I would post it here in case anyone else needs to know.

I WIN96 while viewing the file that I have currently deployed to my Pro-96 I wanted to print out everything just to see what a print out of all this would look like.
I clicked on "File" --> "Export" --> and chose file type as *.xls and gave it a name.
I then printed out the document and looked at the last page which contained the current configuration of my MOT Multi Table !!!! There is was...what I was looking for in print!!

Here is what is in currently entered into my Pro-96. Any analysis, is appreciated. Thanks everyone.

MOT Multi Table # CH Lo CH Hi Base Freq Offset
0 0 719 851.01250 0
1 720 759 848.00000 0
2 815 831 846.62500 0
3 961 1022 843.40000 0
4 958 958 868.97500 958
5 65535 65535 0.00000 0

4 958 958 868.97500 958
5 65535 65535 0.00000 0
Based on the Win96 Help file...

That's merely the "standard" 800 MHz table for Mot 3600 trunking. Win96 automatically populates those entries whenever you create a new P96 file. The "multi table" is only used if you have selected one of the two "Multi table" items on Win96's "Channels" tab.

961 1022 25.000 0 843.400000
This is meant to support systems whether they are in the process of transitioning from 866MHz freqs or have already switched over and only use 850MHz frequencies. [/QUOTE]

I finally got around to entering the custom table mentioned above into my Pro-96 via WIN96.
I saved the old one just in case...anyway it appears to be working fine. I am monitioring the control channel with UniTrunker and can hear everything I am seeing with UniTrunker.

Thanks for your list. I noticed all of them are 25khz steps and noticed the original config had one that was listed as 5khz step which is shown below:

CH LO CH Hi Base Freq Offset Step
65535 65535 0.0 0 5.0

Can you explain what that means?

Thanks,

I split off the question regarding programming EDACS as it does not pertain to programming Motorola rebanded systems. It was moved to the California forum.

For those of you with questions, please only post in this thread if you need assistance with programming a Motorola 3600 trunked system which has changed to the new rebanded bandplan. Thank you.

I'm not sure how that appeared but you can ignore it. It isn't relevant. You also don't need to save the settings. WIN96 automatically populates this information as Don mentioned earlier in this thread.

To anyone else, the default bandplan can be ignored. The information in the beginning post is all that's needed for programming.

Its been thought in the past that the first PRO92 with sub-audible tone Moto Type11 trunking may work on rebanding, with a couple of areas recently rebanded in CA, anyone in those areas using a early edition PRO92...Thanks

Are you talking about a rebanded system, like what the topic is about?

Everyone, I believe I can successfully say that the digital RadioShack scanners such as the PRO-96 and 2096 (along with most of the GRE's) will support rebanded Motorola trunked systems that utilize a 3600 ("SmartNet") control channel. This is done through the custom table feature that these radio have.

Please note: you will need Starrsoft's WIN96 software to program the custom tables. You can get the software here.

Here is the table to program:

Code:
ChLO ChHI Step Offset Base
440 559 25.000 440 851.025000
000 719 25.000 0 851.012500
720 759 25.000 0 848.000000
815 831 25.000 0 846.625000
958 958 25.000 958 868.975000
961 1022 25.000 0 843.400000
This is meant to support systems whether they are in the process of transitioning from 866MHz freqs or have already switched over and only use 850MHz frequencies. The two systems which have been mentioned in other threads on RadioReference (Alabama and Vacaville, California) have made complete transitions. Vacaville specifically was using 866 and immediately moved off them to the 850MHz freqs.

To simplify programming, if your system has rebanded and does NOT use any frequencies above 862MHz you only need to program the two ranges below.

Code:
ChLO ChHI Step Offset Base
440 559 25.000 440 851.025000
000 719 25.000 0 851.012500
YOU MUST PUT THE 440 ROW FIRST OR IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY. A higher row takes priority over a lower row.

This information will only work with specific GRE and RadioShack models. As of now there are no solutions, temporary or permanent, for Uniden scanners. Please be patient as I'm sure Uniden will produce a firmware upgrade eventually.

Also, please do not PM me with questions regarding programming your scanner. If you are unsure about how to do something please ask in the forums as it will benefit others. I WILL NOT ANSWER ANY PM'S ABOUT HOW TO PROGRAM YOUR SCANNER. Thank you.

These are from a system in NJ, State Police, using Unitrunker, will your top table above work for this system? Scanner - psr600 Here is what I got:

Ch Lo ChHi Step Offset Base

0 719 25 ? 851.0125
720 759 25 ? 866.0000
815 831 25 ? 867.0000
958 958 25 ? 868.9750
961 1022 25 ? 867.4250

So this information doesn't apply to 9600 P25 Trunking systems. They do not need table modifications for rebanding.

The system I'm talking about is not p25. So the table will work. I guess what I'm trying to say is, should I use what unitrunker gave me or use your table on this system?

Wayne's table is made to fit in a PRO-96 which only accepts up to six table entries. Unitrunker wants a band plan sorted by LCN where none of the table entries overlap. This yields seven table entries.

Try this:

Code:
  Lo Hi Base
---- ---- ---------
  0, 439, 851012500
440, 559, 851025000
560, 719, 865012500
720, 759, 866000000
815, 831, 867000000
958, 958, 868975000
961, 1022, 867425000

The Lo channel is also the offset. Spacing is 25 kHz for all entries. I can't remember if "classic" Unitrunker shipped with a rebanded band plan as a default Motorola decoding option (probably not).

If you're entering it into a PSR-600 in order to monitor a "rebanded" Mot 3600 800 MHz system, use the table Wayne listed above.

I appreciated all the help above, but, your answer was what I was looking for, I was getting confused, I asked the question because the numbers didn't look the same, I wanted to know what to enter into the scanner to make the system track right. Thank You! Now, I'll give it a try. I tried one set of numbers last night, said something about resetting eprom, took out all my info, like it reset my scanner, had to reprogram it. I hate this stuff, once I get it working, I'm leaving it alone. :)

Also, without win500, I'd be bald by now.
