Am eyeing the 200 and was wondering, if the 200 was directly connected to a router by LAN cable,

1. How difficult is it to setup ProScan to allow me to control and listen while away, say, on my cellphone? (Know very little about "networking")
2. For #1 to happen, do I need to have the scanner connected to a PC and the PC constantly on and running after setup was complete? (This would be a deal breaker, as far as ProScan goes.)

I was never able to get the old 536 setup to do this, nor did I venture to get ProScan for the 536 but with a 200, it would be more than worth it.
Sorry for the noob like ignorance on this topic.

Now, another question. When listening (on network or off) the site wants to update itself forcing me to hit the play button every time. Is this normal? Also, does this RadioFeed program work with the SDS 200? I'd probably get the full program, if I decide to get the scanner.

I'm not sure about the site updating itself. Hit the F5 key to refresh the browser to see if that fixes it. Also if using ProScan, don't serve the folders & Files by hitting the "Clear Serve Folder Location" button to see if that fixes it.

RadioFeed hasn't been updated to specifically support the SDS200 so choose the scanner type BCD536HP. The setup is exactly the same..
