I just want to add that in my area (Boston, MA), i have no trouble with TV station nterferance of local 470-484mhz public safety. I also would like to point out that GRE has an adavantage here over Uniden... How?? Because Uniden has 470-484mhz public safety as part of there service search.. But you can not turn it off.. Remember GRE lets you press certian number buttons to turn service search bands on/off.. So the advantage that GRE has here is that, say GRE has there public safety service search buttons set up as button (1) 30-44mhz, button (2) 155-158mhz, button three 460-464mhz and button (4) 470-484... You could easily press button (4) to shut down the 470-484mhz band that is not in your area. If you have a GRE scanner you know that this can be done. So having 470-484mhz added would not be a bother to those who do not wish to use it. :)

You're missing the point of several of the posts. There are ranges within there that contain public safety and various other types of use.

You're basically asking for a feature specifically for your area. That seems somewhat selfish.

As you can see from the released manual, there are ways to tune the UHF-T band without the Service Search and still link it to other Objects if you so desire. Once the software is available for the radio, you could even make your own set of UHF-T band frequencies to scan or search at nearly the same time as the service search Objects. I think GRE has it pretty well covered from what I can see.
