Something like it called "Spectrum Sweeper", that can be linked with the Object oriented memory management. Signal Stalker is a Radio Shack trademark.

My guess is squelch hasn't opened and there is no need for a strength meter.

The p on the right hand side shows it was in program mode. No meter will show for that

I'm sure all the major players will be selling them such as Grove, Scannermaster, Scanners Unlimited, HRO, Universal Radio, etc. It will be interesting to see if Radio Shack picks them up. Then I wonder if it will be web only and at MSRP like the Uniden models?

My buddy up at Advanced Specialties here in NJ has told me that Radio Shack has officially passed on marketing these units. They will carry the GRECOM name only...

I could be wrong, but I do believe that he will be selling them when they hit the shelves.

I don't think he's brand-specific with scanners as he is with his amateur radio offerings (he sells Yaesu & Alinco gear, primarily).

The only thing I will miss is their 30-day money back guarantee. "If you are not satisfied with an item that you have purchased, you may return the item within 30 days of delivery for a full refund of the purchase price..."

Does any other scanner seller offer that, let alone one that has retail stores scattered throughout the country that you can simply walk it in to?

The manuals got stains on it, and the radio case has a few "unnoticeable" scratches.....

I like their return policy too, but......
the fact that they resell returned items in almost new condition leaves me always wondering....

I've seen that also at Radio Shack. They're allowed to resell returns, but they are supposed to advise the buyer, and at the very least, offer an extended warranty at no extra charge. Sometimes even a discount on the radio in addition to the extended warranty.

Lack of proper training, and high employee turn over has a lot to do with their problems.

It would appear, just from reading the Wiki, the answer is no, since both articles mention the GRE USB cable, and at least some hints that BuTel and/or Don Starr will be working on the software. However, seeing as there've been so many changes and additions since the articles were first written, this is a fluid situation, so this might change.

Remember with the Pro92/2067 they gave you the clone cable? I have 3 Uniden cables tha have never left the box they came in.

Thats always been the practice at all the store in S.E. Michigan over the years. I can't say for sure it's policy, but it's certainly been the normal practice.

If you just bought a scanner yesterday, is there any way to go back and see if it was a "returned item" before and then ask for a "NEW" radio?
