PSR500/PSR600: PSR-600

Received a GRECOM PSR-600. Turning on the unit, displays reads; uP Boot Ver:F1.4
up App Ver: NONE
CPU SW Upgrade
Wait for PC/IF

Have programed several of these (no issues) but haven't ever run in to this.
Nothing else appears to change via buttons. Pressing WX does nothing.

Any way to get out of this? Any thoughts, suggestions very much appreciated.

Do a search for “bricked PSR-600”. Someone tried to update it with the wrong firmware update

Thanks Mr. BS73, but I located the CPUupdater Boot14, ran same and the scanner came alive!
800mHz P25 appears to work fine. The VHF / UHF seems to have a low sensitivity issue.

Yep! That’s what you have to do. Use the correct cpu updater. Glad you got it going

Which CPU updater did you find? I have version 2.1.

I think Version 2.1 was the last release. I have all their releases and do not know about a 2.3

DO NOT use the Whistler firmware with the GRE-600. It will brick the scanner.

That is correct. I stated clearly for WHISTLER 1040.

Yes I gave him the Whistler link and he also found on his own the GRE 2.1 update
