I believe at least 6 units sold at $299 each. I received shipment notice from USPS just a few minutes ago.

He sold 15 that day at $299. Along with one more the next day at $380 and over 30 in the previous month, all with 100% positive feedback left from the HP1 purchasers in his feedback.

Just FYI I have NO affiliation with the seller, no idea who he is or where he got them - Im just an experienced eBayer and Internet buyer/seller who can sniff out the deals :D

If my county wasnt all VHF/UHF conventional still I would have bought one. Hell, if I didnt have so much money tied up in other inventory right now I would have bought all 15 .

I was going to buy one on Black Friday for $178 more and would have been happy. However, thanks to KJ6HCB, I can now spend that savings on a mobile antenna, GPS and cable, etc. So I'm now really, really happy!!

Should be here by Wed - Thu so I'll report back after I actually get my hands on it.

Do most of you plan on using your HP1 in a home setting only, vehicle only, or a mix of both?

If you are looking for a mobile only antenna, NMO mount, I REALLY reccomend the Austin Spectra antenna. A bit pricy at $85 + NMO mount, but hey - I saved you guys some cash so you can hook it up with accessories :D

I have one on my truck hooked to a BCT15 and I receive everything from CHP on 42Mhz up to 800Mhz trunked systems extremely well. I purchased mine from Ham Radio Outlet who gives free shipping on anything over $100 - worth it when you are ordering big antennas!

For me, both home and vehicle. Unfortunately, I already ordered the SF mobile antenna from ScannerMaster so I will try that but will definitely pick that one up depending on how the SF performs. Also need to think about putting my Yaesu FT-857 in my vehicle as well and figuring out an antenna. Using it as a base only right now.

Got my tracking number also. :)

Will be using mine 99% in home.

If I do take it with me in the car, I'll just use the Rubber Duck ant. that comes with it.

Thanks to KJ6HCB for bringing this deal to light! I'm sure I can find something to spend my $200 savings on.

I received my tracking info today as well. USPS is so bad at updating their tracking info!!!

I'll be using mine about 70% of the time at home. I'm planning on getting a gps unit and an 800mhz antenna for the car with all the savings.

What are some of the options other than the Uniden gps?

eBay tracking is even worse. I copy and paste the tracking # usually begining with 9*** and check it using USPS.com for better updates. I have also found that just because a seller bought and printed a shipping label doesn't mean the parcel has been mailed yet.

My shipping notice says the HP-1 shipped today from Coppell, Texas (processed in that facility late last night).

Like I said before there are a lot of people that have received tracking numbers from the person but still no one has ever said they received the unit.

Is there a reason why you are going on an unprovoked rant rampage? Like KJ6HCB said, Go away.

Mine departed Coppell today as well. I'm hoping to get it Thursday. Do you usually need to sign for packages from the USPS?

Honestly, I'd like to hear it from 1 or 2 users here that they received them and are satisfied. I don't think there is anything wrong with asking that question.

It is correct that no one in this thread has posted that they've received theirs and are satisfied. I do understand the skepticism over 'too good to be true'. I really do so I don't have a problem with the questions! Guess we'll know in the next day or two. However, eBay has about 15 people that have received theirs over the last couple of weeks and have posted feedback with 100% positive reviews for this seller. Actually, this seller has 304 feedbacks with an average of 100% satisfaction. Here's the latest for the HP-1 that was posted yesterday:

"New in box as described. Fast shipping. 5 stars all around. Buyer: Member id stamps08520 ( Feedback Score Of 1302) Nov-28-11 20:35
Uniden Homepatrol Scanner 1 (#200677474911) US $299.99 View Item Uniden Homepatrol Scanner 1"

Let's look at it another way... in this day and age, is it more likely that someone will post about a bad experience / deal or a good experience / deal? My guess is that folks post way more about their bad experiences... haven't seen any of those in this thread.

As I said, we'll know in a day or two. Trust me, if this turns out too good to be true, I'll be posting about it everywhere. I just see this as an acceptable risk as KJ6HCB has pointed out. :)

Peace all!

I hope it turns out to be ture, I like seeing users get a good deal. My neighbor is looking for one (I don't care for them myself) and if it does work out, I'll pass the link on to him and tell him to keep an eye on it.
