Looking for suggestions. I’ve had my Radiofeed server running for a little over a year now but I’m running into an issue now where the stream becomes distorted. Like everyone’s voices are deep. Resetting radio feed fixes this but only for a few hours. Any tips on how to fix this ?

so is it the radio problem or the feed problem? you need to diagnose the issue first.

what reciever are you using?

Thanks for the reply. I’m using a BCT15X as the source. The problem seems to be isolated with the Radiofeed software. I’m using version 4.6. I start to get complaints that the audio becomes distorted. Closing out Radiofeed and restarting it fixes the issue but only for 12 hours or so.

Are you using the Web Server or Source Client feature?
Can you provide the link so I/we can listen to it to help determine cause?
Any changes to the computer recently such as a Win Update installed a different sound driver or other software installed?
Can you try Scannercast to see if it does the same thing?

Ok, I agree with @ProScan , now the most important thing to figure out is 'What's Changed' and if it's related.

@Flywithnelson, Just a follow up. Are you still experiencing the same issue? If so than can you answer my questions in post #4 as that would help determine the cause. I don't think I've seen this before and the audio model hasn't changed in years. It's the same audio model in ProScan too. I'm just carious as what's going on. I'm guessing it's the driver.

Negative response. You've been here at least twice since I went to the effort of putting together questions to help determine the cause. I guess @Flywithnelson is not interested in the 750. USD Bug Finder Rewards for helping test a test file.
My guess is that when RadioFeed opens, the waveInOpen low level API reopens causing the audio to reset at the driver level.

Now you're responding. It reminds me of a gentleman that was reporting the BC796D going into mute by itself. I was in correspondence with him for a week, asking questions, then I told him I'll make up a test file in a few days. When I sent him the test file, there was no response. So after a couple of weeks, I sent him a follow up, no response. After 6 weeks, I said the same thing here 'Doesn't qualify for the 750. USD Bug Finder Rewards' He replied back within 5 minutes "sorry, I was out of town visiting my daughter". Like he didn't have access to email, or gone through the emails when he got back, and 6 weeks is kind of long for a trip. End of rant, going back to work.

I just wish a couple of people had the courtesy of replying back especially when taking up valuable time.

I see one other post that may be related to this problem.

If using PlayIt then try unloading that and see what happens.

Other than that, in all these years(15+) I never saw this type of problem with RadioFeed and ProScan and the audio module has never changed. It could be a sound driver or a low level API that changed.

I’m not responding because of the bug finder rewards comment. I’m responding because I only got an email notification because of the @Flywithnelson mention which triggered an email notification. I didn’t not receive notifications for the reply’s. I really do appreciate your reply and software. My current environment is a dell power edge r210ii running virtual box. Radio feed is running on windows 8.1. Im using the web server to stream audio from my BCT15X. Nothing in my environment has changed. BUT while troubleshooting I removed a usb hub that had my usb audio card plug in. I plugged that directly into my poweredge. It’s been 16 hours now without an issue so fingers crossed it was some how just the USB hub

I'm not sure on that. Saturday you should have received an email notification too.

Thanks for the update. Advise if the audio goes down.
