AFAIK does not exist. The only thing out there is (yecchh) Scancat Lite Plus.

Even worse, it's not set up to import data using the web interface for RR, like many other packages. There is a procedure, clumsy though it is, that you can use if you have Excel or similar to pull data - here's the link...

You would think that the 94 being basically a Uniden product, that someone would come up with freeware that could use the RR import function, but evidently no one has....yet....73 Mike

There is no software for the Pro 94 scanner. The scanner is not made to use software. Hope this helps.

Not so. The later versions of the PRO-94 have a PC/IF jack on it's side. The older versions don't.

pro 94

it has a PC/IF and I know that radio shack used to program it, but radio shack people doesn't program it very well so I wanted to do it myself. I talk to radio shack and they gave me the cord so I know it works I just need to know what would be a good free software or maybe a cheap version. Thanks

I rather doubt you're going to find anything apart from the Scancat product, Robyn. This scanner is quite old, and since no one else stepped up to the plate insofar as software support is concerned, I'm afraid you're stuck...almost.

There's a fairly active PRO-94 owner's group on Yahoo - it's admittedly a long shot, but it's just possible someone has built Scancat Lite compatible files (or has them) for your area. Here's the link...

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/pro94owners/

and I can't see where you are from (what state, ect.) but there are a great many Yahoo scanning related lists where you *might* find something. I would also inquire in your state's forum here on RR...
Here's a link to our wiki article that lists the scanning related lists...

http://wiki.radioreference.com/index.php/US_Scanning_Mailing_Lists

Y'know, this question keeps on coming up from time to time. It would be a worthwhile project if someone were to store Scancat Lite Plus files for various areas in the country. They could use the Excel paste method I mentioned earlier, and be able to grab data from the database...

[edit] By the way, if you order the software, tell them to keep their Mr.Scanner data junk. It looks like it's 2 years old, and at least in the case of Maryland's listing, horribly out of date. Pure junk.

This thread is almost 3 years old !!

Anyway programming trunking in the 94 is very similar to what you do for the Uniden BC245 - not surprising since the radio was actually manufactured by Uniden. So these instructions work pretty well (I've programmed a few 94s for friends...)
