I am very pleased to announce the release of the 3.0 version of the RadioReference.com Web site. This is the most significant set of changes for the site since we moved from trunkedradio.net to the current site.

Some highlights of the new release include:

* A new, complete designed from the ground up Portal Interface
* A new server and network infrastructure for better performance
* A new mapping and visualization engine for clickable access to data within specific locations
* Location based data to support scanners with GPS capabilities
* Realtime radar on county pages (US Only)
* A completely redesigned interface for the administrators
* Tagging of data to group data components into common usage patterns

...and much much more.

Thanks to everyone for their feedback and suggestions. And many thanks to the admins who will have a tireless job over the next few months updating all our existing data with the new attributes..

Now, we did push some originally designed features from this release to the 3.1 release.. however all-in-all I am very pleased that we were able to get this out in time for the holiday's.

Enjoy!

This was a very pleasant surprise when I logged on tonight. Thought I hit the Beta button by mistake.

Looks fantastic and works flawlessly.

Keep up the great work.

Like the new format esp the "CLICK-ABLE" counties. This feature will make it easier to get, check and update files for each county.
One error one the ALABAMA state map. You have MARSHALL COUNTY twice on the map. The county between LIMESTONE and JACKSON (on the TENNESSEE line) is MADISON COUNTY, not MARSHALL. The other county that comes up as MARSHALL (south and east of MADISON and south and west of JACKSON) is correct. You can sill access MADISON by going to the BY COUNTY listings. Th

Error in ALABAMA MAP

On the ALABAMA map - you have MARSHALL COUNTY entered twice. The county between LIMESTONE and JACKSON is MADISON. The MARSHALL COUNTY that is south and east of that is the CORRECT county to access MARSHALL COUNTY.

Nevada Map Errors

The long narrow county on the northeast side of the state that you have labeled Storey county is Washoe County

You have two Pershing Counties - the large one is labeled correctly - the small oval shaped one right under Washoe County (which you have labeled as Storey County) is the real Storey County

The Other small area underneath Washoe County that you have labeled as White Pine is the city/county of Carson City which is not shown anywhere on your map

The County on the west side of the state that you have labeled as Washoe is actually White Pine

Nice but take a look at Flash for an RIA user experience. Maybe for v4.0?
