• To anyone looking to acquire commercial radio programming software:

Please do not make requests for copies of radio programming software which is sold (or was sold) by the manufacturer for any monetary value. All requests will be deleted and a forum infraction issued. Making a request such as this is attempting to engage in software piracy and this forum cannot be involved or associated with this activity. The same goes for any private transaction via Private Message. Even if you attempt to engage in this activity in PM's we will still enforce the forum rules. Your PM's are not private and the administration has the right to read them if there's a hint to criminal activity.

If you are having trouble legally obtaining software please state so. We do not want any hurt feelings when your vague post is mistaken for a free request. It is YOUR responsibility to properly word your request.

To obtain Motorola software see the Sticky in the Motorola forum.

The various other vendors often permit their dealers to sell the software online (i.e., Kenwood). Please use Google or some other search engine to find a dealer that sells the software. Typically each series or individual radio requires its own software package. Often the Kenwood software is less than $100 so don't be a cheapskate; just purchase it.

For M/A Com/Harris/GE, etc: there are two software packages that program all current and past radios. One package is for conventional programming and the other for trunked programming. The trunked package is in upwards of $2,500. The conventional package is more reasonable though is still several hundred dollars. The benefit is you do not need multiple versions for each radio (unlike Motorola).

This is a large and very visible forum. We cannot jeopardize the ability to provide the RadioReference services by allowing this activity to occur. Please respect this.

Uh-huh. Should I start my Internet search now, or wait a couple days? :)
Maybe someone should start a pool where people could bet on how long it will take for that information to be plastered all over the interwebs.

Better off with the 950PRO. Not much of a upgrade to the 1000PRO. From what I have read so far, just am for CB was changed. If you know something else, please post it. No way I will pay that price for the 1000PRO for little upgrade.

Amazon and or Aliexpress have not listed the 1000 Pro yet as of today.
Prime day coming soon, lets see if they do and for what $$$.

Like said before once it drops to around 100 I will buy, otherwise the 950 Pro does excellent for my needs (no ham)

Think they will realize the cost is to high for little upgrades from the 950 pro that they will have to drop the price. If they don't, oh well, it will sit on the shelf collecting dust.

Just ordered one directly from radtel. waiting for its arrival ;-)
allready played with the CPS software , looks exactly the same as the iRadio
so also downloaded that CPS.
Did some tests with the software and managed to "trick" the software that it can TX in AM on the 119.200Mhz.
(did it with hexeditors on the saved freq. list)
So now wait until it arrives here ... to be continued ;-)

FCC ID on the sticker is 2AZSA-6D880 - same as the RT-880. Iradio granted Radtel authorization to apply for an FCC ID change from Iradio's original FCC ID Y23UV-98PLUS.

Part 15B authorization only. Not authorized to transmit outside the amateur radio bands.

And for anyone interested, this radio looks like it's a UV100 from Iradio (based on the silkscreen on the main board).

When you get yours, test out the cross-band repeat if you get a chance - doesn’t seem to work on mine. I already emailed Radtel about it.

Anyone who bought this radio and has or had the 950 pro, can you post the differences and if it’s worth the extra cost?
