Raleigh Wake Digital Paging ?

Does anyone know if RWECC still does digital paging? And if so, does anyone have the frequency? I would think its POSAC so its on an 800 mhz channel, but nothing in RR to support it.

Charles, how is the performance of the digital paging, in terms of reception and esp. decoding and display of the text? Crisp & clean, or lots of errors/ undecipherable characters?

Not sure, the backlight has stopped automatically coming on so I'm calling Ray's Pager sales tomorrow to find out if he can get me a replacement.

how did you make out with them? Are they the authorized vendor for Wake?

Interested in learning some of this as well - I don’t enjoy listening to the Raleigh/Wake Locution anymore so getting alphanumeric pages would be a nicer way to play around with this.

You can use a cheap SDR to a computer using SDR# and PDW to decode everything you want without having to really purchase a pager.

That is true... but defeats the ability for me to just “grab and go” when I am out of the house.

Oh yea. You could also use a screen share application where you can pull it up anywhere since there are so many pages. With that and PulsePoint you really never have to listen to the radio again
