As of version 2022-06-02_1246, Rdio-Scanner support is added to the software. On the PC Audio tab, there is an option to enable Rdio scanner support. When enabled, wav files will be generated in the Documents/p25rx/0xxx_your_mac_id/rdio_dirwatch/sys_id_decimal/ folder. When you configure the Rdio-scanner server, you can cut-and-paste the MASK string that is located below the enable checkbox for the DirWatch feature. The Rdio-Scanner software runs as an HTTP service on a system and plays back from the stored wav files. The client can be a web browser on a PC or you can download phone/tablet apps from the Apple Store or Google Play. I have tested with the scanning enabled for motoring multiple P25 systems. I may still have more work to do for the analog modes to get the filenames correct. The software does have the ability to import the RR talk group csv files per system. I will put some documentation and a video together soon.

Fascinating... wonder if I could use this to send my feed to Broadcastify. Looks like it will at least allow me to listen remotely from my office at work without using remote access to the entire PC at home. Huh (thinking cap on...).

Enabling this feature only enables audio output in a separate directory specific to Rdio-scanner. This does not affect the normal audio output or file generation. When you configure Rdio-scanner, there is an option to delete the wav files after they playback. If you currently use BTCFG for feeding Broadcastify, it should continue to work as it always has. Hopefully this will be useful to those who want to monitor on their tablet or phone around the house over the WiFi.

I played around with this a bit more. I found that it was better to put all of the wav files for all systems in the same folder. (p25rx/_mac_id/rdio_dirwatch). Then you only have to configure a single "DirWatch" folder. Version 06-02_1609 does this. I already mentioned that the Rdio-Scanner server software deletes the wav files after playing them back (by default), but I didn't realize it creates an SQL-Lite database file with all the audio and configuration in it. You can search and playback / download conversations from the dbase using the client. Very nice! I haven't actually downloaded the phone-based clients yet. Let me know if anyone tries this. I'm thinking about adding support to the "stable" P25RX and P25RX-II releases as well. Let me know if there is interest in this.

Hmm, so how do folks use their P25RX to feed Broadcastify? Guessing a cable from audio out on P25RX to audio in on PC. I could put the P25RX upstairs where my current feed setup lives, then use the Rdio-scanner to feed the audio over my WiFi network to an old iPhone or iPad. Hmmm.

@btt Todd, nice addition. The rdio app is a audio player interface and NOT a remote control to the rigs, correct?
That is correct. It looks like the author of the software has another project for remote control, but that is a different software.

Definite interest in this for the original P25RX Todd!

It looks cool and is something I'd utilize for sure.
2022-06-02_1650 with Rdio support is ready to go for the P25RX. Let me know how it goes!

I would second this. I recently picked up a second hand P25RX-II so I now have 4 of them so this would be a great way to monitor them remotely.

Also, is it (would it be) possible to run multiple instances of BTCFG on a single computer? Perhaps having all the files going into the same "DirWatch" folder?

Yes, you can run multiple instances of the software. It uses the MAC_ID of the receiver to keep the files separate. For the Rdio configuration, you would probably want to set-up a DirWatch folder for each unit. They will still all be able to playback on a single client device. I assume you would like support added to the "stable" release for the P25RX-II. I will get this done next.

That's great, no hurry for me as I likely won't get time to set anything up until next week.

I gotta say, you keep making these devices better and better and that is VERY appreciated! Thank you!!

One configuration note worth mentioning. You need to use the <disable duplicate call detection> for things to work right. Been testing the phone app on the internal network. It is working great. You may also need to configure the "battery optimization" for the application on your phone to let the application use more battery (not go to sleep).

I might be doing things incorrectly, but the dirwatch folder is not populating with any audio files at all on P25RX 2022-06-02_1650. Standard recording is happening as usual, but nothing new other than the dirwatch folder being created. I've also noticed that if you exit P25RX, the Rdio-Scanner support checkbox does not stay enabled.

Thank you for testing. I think I know what may be happening. I'm testing on Linux. On Windows, files don't show up until they are closed. I also forgot to save the state of the checkbox as you mentioned. I'll work on getting this fixed and tested on Windows.

The issue turned output to be filenames that Windows did not like. It is fixed in version 2022-06-03_1005 for the P25RX. I will have updates for the P25RX-II stable and advanced shortly. Thank you!

The only issue I have seen here is NOT a BTConfig problem.

Tried the Android Rdio app. The Rdio app display is working but no audio. Using the Web browser on Android the audio is all good. Must be an Android Rdio app issue on my tablet - no big deal for me. The Apple Rdio app works fine with audio on my phone.

There should be working Rdio-Scanner support for everyone now.
Version 2022-06-03_1047 (ADV-BTCFG scanning version for P25RX-II)
Version 2022-06-03_1005 (P25RX)
Version 2022-06-03_1110 (P25RX-II non-scanning version, an update to what was 03-02_2357)
