Reset to factory not working.

I have a Uniden BCT8 trunk tracker III and I have been trying to reset it to factory settings. I have done what it lists in the book " hold 2 and 9 and hold and turn off and On" it still has the frequency codes I had set is there something else I can try.

Turn the scanner off without holding any buttons. Then, while holding the 2, 9, and HOLD buttons turn the scanner on.

It's 2 and 9 and HWY button on that scanner.

Well I did that and still not working maybe its time to pack it up and put it away.
