Well I am not sure if this is how it works but I need to select V3 on definitions. I found out if I use an IP that supports this device it will work:

78396

I did find out that the antenna connector is unscrewed and no antennas work. Now if the antenna was to work I see that the IP only last 30 min. So is this how it works, connect to an IP?

Can you confirm you ran Zadig and installed the driver for the dongle?

If you did not then no SDR will work for you.

You need to find the RF gain setting for the dongle and turn it up.

When you hold the mouse pointer in the spectrum display it should show a red bar with the texts Scale, Low, High. Set that to show dBm and high can be -20dBm and low -120dBm, or whatever you think would be appropriate.

Well I like this new device as it does receive new area, new frequencies for me. I did notice that the LW works but I hear nothing on MW. Do I need to set up something for that band?

Thank you,

Hello Group, I have a lenovo t410 with windows 10 this laptop has 4 USB ports one on the right and 3 on the left, after setting everything up i can get the right side dongle to work but the left will not start, when I pull the left out and place it to the right the unit works flawlessly for both dongles, for some reason the left side 3 USBs will not allow me to start the unit in unitrunker. now I looked to make sure I properly installed all the necessary software and drivers correctly several times, this did not solve my problem. so i purchased a usb hub for the rite side input to see if this will help, my question is = should or can i get the left side working properly with out the usb hub in the device manager?
or is there some trick to getting my dongle working on the left side, the computer recognizes the dongle but it WILL NOT SART any help ?

Confirm that the ports work by inserting something else, USB stick or a mouse. Go into windows controlpanel and the hardware and there you have the USB ports setting. Check that they all are set to not go into sleep mode.

I did find out that the RTL-SDR does not go below, say around 25 mhz, so I look for a new one. I did find this one:

Nooelec NESDR Smart HF Bundle: 100kHz-1.7GHz Software Defined Radio Set for HF/UHF/VHF Including RTL-SDR, Assembled Ham It Up Upconverter, Balun, Adapters & Cables
on Amazon for $89. Does anyone have this or similar to it and is it a good package to get. I will spend up to 100.

Thanks

Actually, the RTL-SDR V3 goes all the way down to DC if you switch it to direct sample mode. I/Q does 24MHz and up, direct sample does 24MHz and below.

Well I did look up the way it can be done but I will not install something that requires a lot of my info just for a file. Unless this direct sampling mode is located, and where, I will not sign up.

In SDR# direct sampling is one of the configuration options. No files or personal info needed. Why are you trying to download anything?

Well to let you all know I can hear MW now with the RTL-SDR as I did find the configuration and picked the one with Q. Here is a sample of what I see and hear. Now it is to do a setting for better listening.

78675

Thank you all as this device is better than my ICOM IC-R75.

Happy New Year.

And it's even better with a Spyverter connected!
Yes I did see the video of this device and I did get the full package at Amazon with
Nooelec NESDR Smart HF Bundle: 100kHz-1.7GHz Software Defined Radio Set for HF/UHF/VHF Including RTL-SDR, Assembled Ham It Up Upconverter, Balun, Adapters & Cables. I just hope the assemble and software, what software to use, is easy to do. As you can see by my photo I use SDRConsole V3. Again thanks for helping to get me started with this kind of device.

I need a reset on my SDRConsole V3 as I must of changed a setting, trying to explore. My LSB and USB are hard to listen to. No matter where I place the | | listen markers the side band is way off. I did try calibration reset but no good. Help me get my HF MB SSB back.

Thank you.
