Good, you should be pretty close to be able to hear Salem County from there. Your nearest tower site is in Pittsgrove not far from Schalick HS. Atlantic County has a dead spot down that way from Franklinville on down to Forest Grove. Not sure why. I actually thought the Mays Landing tower was the stronger in that area - but either one was poor.

Yes. And sometimes those maps can be a little deceiving. Often they will not account for directional sites, terrain, etc. My experience has been that if you're using a portable SDS Scanner/Unication pager/radio with a portable antenna within about 7 miles of a site (especially on 700/800mhz) you have a decent chance of hearing it so long as you're not in a basement or bank vault. Beyond that, it really depends. With a better antenna I have heard the Atlantic County Mays Landing/EHC site in Willow Grove, PA almost 50 miles away. But with the same antenna it struggles in the more wooded areas around Franklinville and Malaga. Go figure.

Whiskey3JMC - Ant is an COMET CX-333. 144 / 220 / 440 MHz Fiberglass Base Vertical Antenna feed with 30 + or - ft of LMR 400 @ Approximately 25 feet high. HASL is 69ft. and I get no P25 CCs on 800Mhz but a few on 700MHz.
