We're also getting the morse code on .925 that the County 911 channel gets. I'm not quite sure what it is though?

A friend of mine who lives in that area says he is hearing alot of keying up (clicking mike) on 158.775 over and over (Like someone fooling around) he went to the input and saw a signal when it was happening.. (I dont know what the strength was)

I wish people would leave EMERGENCY COMMUNICATIONS alone!! (The police dont need this crap!!!)

We never used to get that on 925 though?

Everything still sounds distorted on 925 this morning. The pagers continue to activate okay, but I do hope that they fix whatever issue they have going on. On the plus side, reception is excellent now that they're simulcasting on all towers.

Also, I can confirm that they have turned on the Stillwater tower, at least the VHF portion, as we now have a strong signal in the Village of Stillwater where we used to have just a weak signal off of the Spruce tower.

Still waiting for the Edinburg tower to go live. Barkersville is hit and miss, sometimes loud & clear..sometimes on-existant.

Ummm, they've been simulcasting 155.925 over TG 511 for a while already.

T0101 is now indicating a neighbor - T0102, using a different control channel. I can still barely receive T0101 and can't pick up T0102 at all.

Today from downtown Albany I heard:
3111
113
115
1111
511
4111
2111
1134 sounded like radio techs doing field tests.

Talked to a portable @ NYS Division Military Affairs in Latham today from a portable at Glens Falls Hospital clear as day. Agencies who had classes are actively testing Talkgroups and coverage checks in their areas.
Impressive to say the least for now.

Is this the same system that is already in the database (with rebanded frequencies)?
...and is this a Phase 1 (FDMA) or Motorola X2 - TDMA System?

I updated the database, let me know what else I need to add.

I will put the other TG's in when they are identified.

There is one of two towers in Edinburg that is active. The frequencies are :
851.225
851.4125 CC
852.6
852.85

I am working on identifying the talkgroups now. I have about 34 to ID, and it seems like more each week.

I have also heard the "clicking" which was bringing up the 158.775 repeater. My impression was that it had something to do with the link with the 800 stuff, ie when it was done transmitting and the 800 system dropped the 158.775 conventional "heard" a kerchunk if you will and came back up. Kinda like having two conventional repeaters linked. The squelch tail from one bring the other up and vise versa.

Additionally if anyone is interested go to saratogaems.org and you can view the power point presentations that the fire and ems providers are using to train their folks. Very well done and informative.

Stay safe

Steve
