There are several, It depends on what kind of scanner you have, Software you have. I am using win500 with my PSR 500 but it depends on the scanner you have and what you want to use as there are SEVERAL different programs for different scanner that will do this such as win500, Arc500, etc.,also what program(s) you have etc... I think just a LITTTTTLLLEEE more info is needed here..

You can log with what you have but you can not record. I think bctool (free software) will log and record.

It does, but I understand it has some bugs yet to be worked out.

I spoke to soon. After the recent windows update, I am starting to have trouble with the software. The problem is the program starts it then goes to the start menu. When I try to make to maximise the window, it will not maxinise. It will not allow me to go into any functions. It will not show the log or any window. In the start bar tab is shows to be scanning and will stop at the frequency and after transmission it will start scanning frequencies again. I can Rt. Click on the start bar tab and hit close and it will close the tab and what little bit of the program is running.

Has anyone encountered this problem?
thanks in advance to anyone who might be able to help.

PS. i have found no tech support for this program....

My Windows XP SP2 worked fine the day I turned it on. I have NEVER done any updates, etc. and it's still working fine. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
System Restore can take your PC back to a date before you did the update. I would try that.

I found the problem. i installed a new video card with dual monitors a months ago. some how the video for AVC got switched to the second monitor setting. i switched it back to the connected monitor and all was fine.
