So a few issues I have, I'm using a Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, Android Version 14:

1. I am an audio feed provider, but in order to listen to the calls feature I have to uncheck that I'm a feed provider

2. I do not see anywhere to have the [Calls] option turned on under the Directory Settings

3. When I exit the app and open it later I have to re-enter my Broadcastify login in order to access my private Calls Playlists under the Browse Broadcastify Calls Playlists

Can you reproduce the problems, then return to a directory screen (if you're not still on one), then tap on "Settings" at the bottom of the screen, then select Help, then select "Frequently Asked Questions", then tap on the "Send Feedback" button that's at the bottom of the screen, then select "Report a Bug", and send the e-mail that's created? This will allow me to look at a copy of the app's log to see what's happening.

In case you haven't heard, the latest Android phone update with UI 7.0 is absolutely TERRIBLE, and makes many apps unusable because they simply stop when they are placed in background, ignoring the option not to do that. I used to listen to Broadcastify via Chrome, but that no longer works, and there is no way to make it work. It was great before the update.

The good news is @GordenE's Scanner Radio app STILL WORKS with the new update, it continues to play when you switch to a different app or the screen times out.

The bad news: The CALLS playlists don't show the last few calls like the web page does, so if I'm driving to a call address and don't hear it the first time, there is no way to replay that broadcast to get the address.... or am I missing something?

That is correct. It plays calls in near real time (same as traditional audio feeds) and there is currently no way to replay recent calls you missed. I have suggested it as a feature awhile back, being able to play the last X minutes of calls. Not sure how Gordon could implement such a feature.

Thank you for confirming this.
I guess in the meantime, Android users need to run BOTH this app and Chrome with a window running the Calls page on the Broadcastify website. This app will keep running, even in the background under Android 15/UI 7.0, and when you need to repeat a broadcast or go back a couple to see which incident they are talking about.
I'm trying to figure out if I can roll back that last update, but it sounds risky to do, and will open the phone up to security issues, but it's the still the best way to use Boradcastify calls platform.

If the app API allows access to the archives, for premium subscribers, it should be able to be implemented that way.

This had been working great in the app for me since I set it up. This week, all of the sudden any device that I have the app installed, I click on the playlist (or any playlist I have saved), it loads but says "stopped". I try to hit play and it goes back to "stopped". Any idea what would have changed? I am able to stream the playlists on my laptop through the webpage.

I found the problem, it's due to a bug I accidentally introduced in the latest version of the Android app, the fix will be contained in the next version of the app. I plan to submit a new beta version to Google tomorrow, once they approve it it'll be available to everyone that's opted into receiving beta versions.

@GordonE I have been trying to find the calls on my iOS version as well and can not find it. I am getting ready to start up providing calls for my area in addition to my regular feed. Did it get removed or am i missing something. And the I was wondering about the feed provider option for entering in your details and clicking feed provider to get the features too.

Support for private Calls lists has never existed in the iOS app (and there aren't any plans, currently, to ad support for them). Public playlists are supported though and are included in the directory.

Ok no worries. What about feed providers and the option for logging in on iOS to be able to report an alert from the app? I apologize if this has been answered before.

The ability to log into the iOS also doesn't exist, sorry. If you contact me at support@scannerradio.app and let me know what feed you're providing the audio for I can turn on the Pro features in the app for you (Android users just need to enter their credentials into the app and check the feed provider checkbox).

A subscription is completely optional and only needed if you'd like access to additional features. Also, if you still have the old Pro app installed the free version will have all of its Pro features enabled.
Hi Gordon. I'm running the December 31 v8.21 beta, and am still experiencing this issue. I can no longer get any calls streams to play.

If these are private calls playlists, go the the app settings and make sure you're logged in with your Broadcastify/Radioreference account. Mine for some reason signed me out a few days ago and I had to sign back in again for private playlists to work.

I tried that. Clearing cache or storage didn't help either. I reinstalled the app, and it's working for me again now.
