Scanner Stopped working

On my scanner, it says, "Finding CTRL Channel"
Can someone tell me what this means? My scaaner stopped working, I reloaded it with my frequencies and still says the same thing.

What scanner is it, all scanners are different, did you make any changes to it? It is possible the control channel changed, do you have all the alternate control channels programmed?

You also should tell us what system this is so we can see if changes were made to the system.

You need to tell us EXACTLY what systems and agencies you are trying to monitor in Memphis Tn . Post a link to them in the database so that we can see what you are talking about.

Does the antenna wiggle at all oh, does it feel loose? Did you accidentally put the attenuator on by mistake, do you see ATT on the display?

I'm still having problems navigating the new database but it appears as if you are in Shelby County which appears to be in flux from a type ll smartzone system converting to a phase ll system.

Even though the database doesn't mention it, the system could be simulcast. The BCD325P2 does not handle simulcast very well.

Who originally programmed it for you? Did they program the Mot Type II? Did they program the Memphis/Shelby county Phase II system?

The info wasn't all there, did he program in just the listed CC or the alts too? There could have been a CC change. Also to say he was listening to Memphis, there are 3 TRS in Memphis, not counting Shelby County that also has some Memphis on it. But apparently I don't know how to trouble shoot without asking too many questions, sorry for trying to get all the info.
