Beg to differ with you, the scanner will scan each tower site separately, it doesn't lock onto the State or County and just stay there on that site forever. If no traffic it moves to the next tower site. All the TGIDs are in the listings, and when locked onto a tower during a transmission, the corresponding tgid list will be used.

On my own system I have 6 counties in the TxWarn system and the scanner rotates its scanning between them and 26 conventional channels. Then I have all the TGID's for TxWarn for the area entered so whatever is needed is used. The 6 TxWARN towers are not programmed as separate systems with serparate TGID lists. No difference in how I programmed the file for him to use.

Only 6 towers active, other two in process of being activated.

Is there anyway that you would be able to send me another file with the state and county systems separate following Brian's thinking?

Give me time I will work on it, don't think it will make a difference but will separate everything. I think it has more to do with your scanner, antenna, and simulcast.

Ok here are the three systems separated, plus the conventional channels.. If this doesn't work, then we have to start looking at other things that could affect your reception.

Are you using the stock antenna?

Are you inside your home while trying to receive, and do you have a metal roof?

Have you tried going outside to see if reception is any better?

Have you tried going to different areas of town to check out reception?

Yes stock antenna, not sure abt the metal roof, I will try walking around outside, as well as going to different areas. Thanks again for the program. Absolutely major help.

The systems didn't need to be separated, but if it works it works. Think you will pick up more as you travel around, an outside antenna would be the best help, barring simulcast distortion on the 325P2.

Yep, as Enforcer52 says, it perhaps shouldn't matter if the sites are separate or not. I have had mixed results in keeping the in the same system.

It very well could be that the additional number of simulcast sites with the County simulcast site could be causing your non-simulcast-supporting scanner problems. Everyone's mileage varies. With the separate systems programmed, you can now disable the State system and leave only the County system active. Then see what results you get.

I was looking through some of the TGIDs in the programming provided to me and I noticed they were in DEC. However in the data base they are HEX, could this be why I don't hear anything?
