Hello Folks...

Thought it would be neat to post our favorite School Bus Channels both private company's and active professional sounding public school systems, Let's hear them, Here is a private channel I ran into this morning where the dispatcher and driver got into a yelling match.

150.8300 DPL 627
Unknown company

There was a company on 155.205 for a while
here in my area I think it was Laidlaw.

Thanks in advance.

Tony

1st Student Transportation, White Horse Pike, Barrington: 47.64 DPL 466. Monster signal way up into CNJ. They handle Camden City schools. Sometimes gets interesting (as interesting as school busses get). Listen for "Should I call the cops"...or "how many are fighting"...or "what do you mean you can't find her?"......

Nothing more irritating to monitor than school buses!

Hahaha. You oughtta hear my city transit service sometime. Of course we can control who talks and who don't.

It is quite possible we may end up on the MPSCS soon.

Gotcha there! The Bnpts or bloomington-normal transit service here is boring most of the time to listen to,but occasionally you might hear; " get that stinkin *&^%^% off my bus! Or I was here first you seat scab!
As a bus service they're actually pretty efficient tho.

Yeah, I just tried picking up Elizabeth again on 464.525 this morning, but heard what sounded like scrambled transmissions or P25. I wonder if they are using something else now. I agree, they are annoying to listen to.....however they can be fun to monitor during bad weather.

Can you verify this - I can not find a license but that does not mean anything these days.

TIA....

Yep, they are on a trunked radio system, however, they only have 1 channel. The tower is located in Tinton Falls, and it is registered to a company in Philadelphia (I cannot recall the name though). GST is Southampton NJ uses the tower located in Philly, another channel they use has a tower in Pendel, PA, I do not know those frequencies, however. I used to work for GST, and did a little work on their radio equipment.

Ok - thanks. Must be an LTR Standard or Passport trunked repeater.

It appears Elizabeth School buses don't use their 464 MHz frequency anymore. However, I just found them yesterday on 154.540 MHz (I believe it was simplex). Just in case anyone wants to update their records.
