I have 2 BCD536HP's with identical programming. Last night after we had a power outage and after the outage one of the units only shows "SD Card Access Error" when I turn it own. I took the SD card out of the working scanner and put it in the one that gave the error and it works fine. I am assuming the SD card data got messed up. I tried plugging the unit into my computer to try and reload the SD card from the Sentinal software but when I go to "Write to Scanner" it has the "OK" box is greyed out. What do I have to do to get this SD card working again?

Try reformatting it and copying the data to the card. Sounds like it got glitched.

I could not see anyway to format the card in the Sential software with the card in the radio. I dont have a card reader/writer compatible with the micro SD. Is it possible to do it while in the radio?

Try checking the show all drives box and see if your dive shows up. If not, you are going to need a compatible card reader so you can format with windows.

I get the feeling either the card is FUBAR'ed, or the read-only bit got set (which is pretty much the same thing).

I would invest in a UPS for the power supply.
