Hello,

Very basic question : how can I delete a group ?
It's very easy to remove a frequency with the 'delete' function, but I can't find it for a group.

Or does it not exist ?
Thanks a lot

Many thanks thewraith2008 for taking my comment into account. I've just downloaded the latest update, it's perfect.

If I may offer a final suggestion : this tool would be even more ergonomic if it was possible to copy frequencies from one group to another (by means of something like a "copy to" button).

At present, this operation is possible but tedious if you have a large number of entries to transfer.

I don't know if this idea is easy to implement, but it would be a real bonus.

Have a nice day.

Glad you found the update.
I forgot to post that I did it the other day as I got busy with work.

You can change the group but no copy as such.
I'm not sure about duplicating entries as this may cause issues with other things (plug-ins) that access the DB and would only use the first occurrence of a same frequency entry.

Latest version (v1.1.11.0) can be found here: MEGA - Download
NOTE: Use 7zip or WinRAR to extract files from the .7z file and read the .txt/.pdf files for installation and usage of files with SDR#.

Hello Wraith 2008.

Today Prog issued a new Beta update for SDR# using dotnet9. Your FreqMan is no longer working, unfortunately.

He provided the following statement on the groups io forum:

From Prog: "Apparently the plugin is referencing some code that no longer exists in dotnet. By the look of it, a rebuild of this plugin is sufficient to make it work again.
The error message for thewraight: 'BinaryFormatter serialization and deserialization have been removed. See Deserialization risks in use of BinaryFormatter and related types - .NET for more information."
_._,_._,_
I am sure he meany dotnet 9 in the above Prog comment.

Thank you for your efforts. Freqman is a great plugin!

Regards,
George

Unfortunately, this doesn't do what I was able to accomplish in FreqMan. FreqMan also does scanning, not only a frequency range but also for discrete frequencies (channels) like the scanners of old.

I did move over my xml file as you suggested. the frequencies indeed do display, but the scanning function is not there. In addition FreqMan had a check box to either include or exclude specific frequencies from the scan.

This is why I like FreqMan and hope it can be resuscitated once again by TW2008.

Thank you for replying to my message. I guess you are near PDX. I am south of you in Redmond.

Regards,
George

I'm not currently able to keep ahead of the rapid changes in .NET or SDR#.
I have been moving away from using Windows due to it's invasive features therefore not maintaining the programming environment or spending time using and looking at the numerous plug-ins and it's code.

It maybe time to let some of the less used plug-ins fall by the side to lighten the load.
Not really sure of all the plug-ins that I've updated in the past, what plug-ins people are still using the most.

I use most of them , I'll happily stay at the 1921 dot8 version for their use

Hello TH2008,

I can understand your frustration with the every changing Windows environment and SDR# for that matter.

I know that Graeme in Scotland uses your the FreqMan plugin as do I. One of the perfect uses of the SDR is to scan not only a range of frequencies, but also discrete frequencies. The discrete frequency option is what I use a lot for our local repeaters in my area. I cannot imagine having an SDR with all of it capability and not having a decent scanner for it.

I do realize that the choice is your, of course. I have really enjoyed having this capability. I thank you for the various plugins that you have created in the past.

I just checked and the Mode Presets is listed but comes up as an empty 4x2 grid. I was adding each plugin back to the beta version and discovered this just now. I have this plugin running all the time. Not having these two plugins will force me to not upgrade Sharp any further. I will keep using version1920.

George

It was suggested to use the freq manager. Unfortunately one cannot set the stereo attribute. Haven't had time to check which other attributes cannot be set. All in all a disappointing night (radio-wise).
