SDRTrunk SDR Trunk Questions

Hello all

First off I love this program! It decodes my simulcast system in Baltimore County very well. I plan on exploring DSD+ Fastlane once I get some more money (college student problems). I have a few questions with SDR Trunk currently.

1st. Is it just me or can you not join the google support group?

2nd. Is there an easy way to enter all the talkgroup aliases to SDR Trunk other then entering each of them individually?

3rd. For some reason it is not letting me enter any RIDs as aliases. Is this possible or am I just confused? Also is it worth it?

4th. Is there plans for decoding RIDs?

I just checked the settings and it's set to allow anyone to join the group and/or post to the group

Not yet. I plan to add an interface to import RR data, but haven't implemented it yet.

Radio IDs and Talkgroups can both be aliased using the Talkgroup Alias identifier.

4th. Is there plans for decoding RIDs?

sdrtrunk decodes Radio IDs when they're available in the data. Is there something else that you're not seeing in the data that you're expecting to see?

Not quite sure. I don't how RIDs work and nor how PSR-800s pick them up. I am trying to get data like this

The radio IDs that you posted should be available/visible when you're decoding. You can associate each of those radio IDs in your list using an alias and input each radio id in a talkgroup alias identifier.

The data described above goes into a file called playlist_v2.xml in the program's playlist subdirectory.

XML files can be edited with a text editor as long as you enter the tags correctly. Notepad++ is free and good for this purpose.

I am able to grab the files from github, but wanted to check out the group forums.

Then I have no idea short of a Google groups issue? Or possibly try another browser (I use Opera).
