Folks, i have an RSPdxR2, i am extremely puzzled by.
my systems are unix and windows, applications tried SDRConnect and SDRPP
heres my issue, regardless of antenna (known good) this device will not do much, i have a 20+ yr ICOM IC-R10 and using that as reference just on broadcast bands AM/FM it recieves everything i expect.
on the RSP i can get FM local broadcast but the signal strength isnt what i expect and the audio isnt crisp as it should be, AM local broadcast is worse - i beens around radios and such for many years and maybe this is learning curve, and the device has been replaced, feedback from the vendor on the return was no problem found - they sent me a replacement anyway.

any feedback would be most graciously accepted

Gain settings is the most common thing that trips up those new to SDR. Best advice is to tune to known NOAA weather radio signals, set the mode to NBFM and bandwidth to 12khz. Then adjust the IF and RF gain settings for best signal that most closely matches what you get on the Icom.

Welcome to the RR forums. Play around with your gain settings until the wave forms look strong. I get better results with SDRConsole over the apps you mentioned to monitor conventional traffic with my SDRPlays. You'll also want to ensure the SDR is situated far enough from sources of RFI

SDRuno is a better program IMO, download it from the SDRplay website.

i have similar issue with sdruno on signal detection - i do like it better, right now I can't get into what is best but, on the surface, it seems like some of uno features are missing from play/connect.
this weekend i will have some time to revalidate with uno :)
