eBay 10% discount on SDS100 7/10/18 only

Decided to start a thread just 4 the pricing & company etc.

As with all "deals", your mileage may vary...just passing this along in the hopes it might help someone out:

Today (7/10/18) only, eBay is offering a 10% discount on Tech items (see attached screenshot). This promotion includes "Consumer Electronics", so I was able to purchase a new SDS100 from a seller with a 88.6% Positive Rating (and 24,751 feedback ratings received) for ($649.99 - $65) == $584.99 shipped (UPS Ground).

Apparently the promo code (PRIMOTECH) is valid until 11pm PT today (7/10/18), and can be used for a maximum of $100 savings across a wide range of tech items.

Hope it is not the same seller that screwed a few people a few months back on the hp-2. If it is you will get your money back but it will take a bit.

Thanks for the heads-up. It looks like they've sold 73 SDS100's so far, and they've got positive feedback from 10+ SDS100 buyers who've apparently received their radios and are happy. The most "negative" feedback (though still a positive rating) was "Shipping was fast, quality of scanner is amazing, box was slightly dented bottom". They're a "Top Rated Plus" seller, whatever that means. So, fingers crossed that my radio will arrive as expected!

I just took a look at their eBay listing (11:21am PT) and it looks like they've adjusted their price to $722.22, so they're pricing in the 10% discount to bring the scanner down to their $649.99 price. So, I'd call the deal "dead" for the SDS100, but the discount code applies to a wide range of items (including scanners & accessories) from a large number of sellers...so maybe there are more deals out there to be had?

Sounds good let us know how it works out. Great scanner i am enjoying mine and I was one of the first whining about the cost. Don't mind at all being a early adopter.

Good guess on the vendor, 03msc! I hadn't wanted to mention the vendor's name in my earlier posts as I wasn't recommending the vendor -- I was passing along the availability of a broad (hundreds of vendors? thousands?) 10% discount available for one day only on eBay.

But...now that I have my (second) SDS100 in hand, I am happy to report that everything about the purchase from webtron-x was completely to my satisfaction. The radio shipped within *hours* of my purchase, and though the stated delivery date was 7/19/18 the SDS100 arrived TODAY (7/12/18), a full week ahead of the "promised" date.

The radio was well packed, arrived in perfect shape and looking just the way it looked when it left the factory (which is to say nobody at webtron-x opened up the box and got their fingerprints all over my shiny new radio!)

So, I'm 2 for 2 on trouble-free SDS100 purchases...the first from ZipScanner via their website, the second from webtron-x via eBay.

I also recommend webtron-x as I bought my 536 and TRX-2 from them. Excellent customer support and easy to deal with and their shipping packaging are excellent. I did my SDS100 order with them, before cancelling it. It would end up at $950 and I don't have any mulicast systems.

Received a SDS100 that was "OPEN BOX" from Oakland HRO. 10% off the $649 and free ship. Other then the screen protector sheet being pulled off everything looked new.

Now I see this vendor advertising almost 250 dollars above that price. Did this become a victim of the trade tariffs or is this just a rogue vendor trying to make a heck of a profit This vendor also sells this on Ebay.

I see Scanner Master has not raised their price.

Third party seller and just launched on amazon. If anyone buys at that price they did not do research of any kind.

There are plenty of opportunists selling products on ebay and Amazon for highly inflated prices. As I've posted before, they don't maintain any inventory of the products they sell. You order from them, and in turn they order from another vendor and ship to you.

UPMan has mentioned in the past that Uniden scanners are made in Vietnam and not affected by the current US-China trade disputes.
