Interesting topic as I just got my SDS150 today and I cannot get it to be recognized by the computer. When I plug it in it makes the sound that something is plugged in and shows COM10 as the port but you cannot see a drive in file explorer not does a window pop up showing the drive. Also Sentinel doesnt show that it sees anything either. I was able to take the SD card out and put it into a reader and Sentinel was able to see that and do the update and load my favorites. Seems to be something specific with the port on the SDS150 that is causing issue. My SDS100 is recognized and works perfectly with the same PC.

Update: I tried my other laptop and it recognized the SDS150 immediately. I went back to my other laptop and deleted the com port driver and re-plugged in the SDS150 and this time it said installing SDS150. It now works as it should. Must have been something wonky with the com port driver.

Put scanner in detail display, waited for my Clinton favorite to pick up traffic. Found three frequencies from the Jackson favorite being used in the Clinton to pick up traffic. Without those three frequencies from the Jackson the Clinton will just scan and not pick anything up. The only thing I see is that there is one frequency between Jackson and Clinton that are close to each other but doubt this has anything to do with my issue. I attached pics of the three frequencies.
Sorry I keep dragging ths out, this will be my last post on this subject. I'm just going to keep those few Jackson frequencies in my Clinton so I can listen to the Clinton favorite. Thanks for everyones help.
Robert

It appears that the Zwingle site and the Maquoketa sites are both physically located in Jackson County. Perhaps they provide coverage for portions of Clinton County and carry voice traffic for the various Clinton County agencies? I'm not seeing a problem. How did you program your radio? Where exactly are monitoring from - perhaps you are out-of-range of the sites that are actually located in Clinton County?

Yes Zwingle and Maquoketa are both in Jackson county and I'm monitoring from Maquoketa. Zwingle is the most northern part of Jackson and Clinton is south of Jackson. I use the sentinel software for programming. I go through the State wide and County systems and pick out everything related to the counties I want to listen to. Am I adding too much by choosing everything related to the county? I will remove the Jackson county frequencies from my Clinton favorites and drive to Clinton and see what happens. Thank you for your input.

I never claimed to be the brightest tool or the sharpest bulb in the shed, so the issue I thought I was having can be put to rest. I overlooked one big issue. I removed the Jackson county frequencies from the Clinton county frequencies and drove to Clinton, to where I was picking up traffic and I was even picking up some Jackson county traffic. Went back home and the light bulb went off. My house has aluminum siding. So I apologize for this whole blunder and thanks for everyones help and input.
