SDS 200 question

I have an SDS200 with the local GATTRS frequences in it. I have the king mt. site set and i have the t/g in as well but i hear nothing on it. I have a TRX 2 set with the same channels and i can hear the reagin TxDOT all day long. BTW i'm in Upton co texas.... The SDS is on a outside antenna up about 20' and the TRX is in a mobile antenna mounted at 8'.

Check the Service types you have enabled on the SDS200. By default, when shipped, and/or when you first install Sentinel, only the Dispatch service types for public safety are enabled (Law Dispatch, Fire Dispatch, EMS Dispatch, & Multi Dispatch). For Public Safety, be sure to turn on the Tac & Talk service types as well (Law Talk, Fire Tac, EMS Tac, etc.)

For TxDOT, be sure that you have the Public Works service type enabled. If you don't, you would not hear TxDOT on your SDS200.

+1 on checking service types. It's the most likely cause.

Ok i'll see what happens now, i did have my public works turnd off.....

ok that resolved my problem, i can now hear TxDOT....Now another question can you set up a wild card on the sds200 like you can on the trx 2..... This is my first uniden scanner in around 15 years...

ID search instead of ID scan. Only available on favorite lists.
