If I sell my SDS100, is the manufacturers warranty transferable to another person?

Thanks

I’m not sure, but for warranty work you do have to provide the original purchase invoice as I was told by a Uniden rep so you could show “that it wasn’t purchased used”. So based on that explanation I would guess that would be a “no”. I guess you could contact Uniden and get a definitive answer.

It really doesn’t,it just says 1 year warranty from the date of purchase. Doesn’t allude to warranty transfer or specify for the original owner. But when registering to myuniden you must declare date and place of purchase, and when shipping for warranty work you must provide the original invoice, so really still not definitive.

I found this...

Important: Evidence of original purchase is required for warranty service.
WARRANTOR: UNIDEN AMERICA CORPORATION (“Uniden”)
ELEMENTS OF WARRANTY: Uniden warrants, for one year, to the original retail
owner,
this Uniden Product to be free from defects in materials and craftsmanship
with only the limitations or exclusions set out below.

Excellent research, I was pretty sure that was the case, but I just couldn’t find it. I guess that should answer the OP’s question.

Technically reselling the unit voids the warranty, if you could produce the original proof of purchase, you may get around that, but that is a "may" and not a guarantee and certainly not something I would endorse.
