Hopefully that "cold solder" issue has been resolved. 🤞🤞
Made in Vietnam as far as I know. But the slow boat principle still applies. FYI, Zip Scanners says expected in stock on March 4.

Scanner masters is also out of the sds 200 and 100, lol
the trx-2 as well as the trx-1 is also sold out by scanner masters
whistler 1065 and 1025 also sold out on scanner masters, same goes with the 1040
uniden sold out of the 436 as well as the 125at
Zip scanners is sold out the following sds 200, 100, whistler 1040,
and I will skip bearcat warehouse,its just a wait and see game and its all patience to make it work or just a wait and see in general.

blows my mind they still manufacture the 436/536. that's been in production for 10 years. I bought my first 536 in 2015
Why they are still very good Scanners and for the person that does not want or need the SDS Scanner they fill a very nice gap.

my point being is im surprised there still selling old stock and not making new scanners for the ages, lol anyways also don't get me started on the grecom/radio shack/whistler fiasco and why there still selling scanners that are really old, lol or at least rebranded

True but they also do the job like for me when I started back up scanning and wanting a digital scanner, you and other fine folks steered me to the 536/436 as I don't have simulcast in my area, a sds 100 or 200 is mainly for simulcast is what I understand.
True but the SDS Scanners have a few extra bells and whistles that the x36's do not for the Scanner Geek in some of us.

ROFLMA, maybe but im happy with my scanners however I am hoping to get a sds 200 for Christmas I think it will look really nice in my office lol

I just checked and my SDS100 (purchased in late August, 2020) was Made in Vietnam--and mine was backordered at that time, too.
