Has anyone had problems with the BPS100 (Model BT-954) falling or coming apart? I have two that have pulled apart at bottom. Would it be safe to run a piece of tape around to hold them together? They have not completely separated just some what loose.

Are these the small batteries or the large batteries?
If the Batteries are swelling and coming apart then no I would not trust them.
How old are these batteries as Uniden may replace them?

I think there was reports of some batteries swelling both small and large batteries over the summer. I want to say Uniden replaced them with new large batteries.

Here is the main thread about swollen batteries discovered on a few SDS100s.

These are the larger batteries. The original that came with scanner now two that were purchased as spares. After a closer look they are not swelling just separating at corner on the same side of contacts but at opposite end where the low end of bottom piece doesn't cover the cell.
